Abstract
Stapes surgeries (stapedectomy or stapedotomy) have good post operative hearing results on the long-term. The annual deterioration rate in hearing threshold ranged from 0.8 to 1.1 in stapedectomy groups and from 0.4 to 0.9 in stapedotomy groups which is of no significant difference and the use of Na fluoride post stapedectomy decrease the annual deterioration rate of hearing results.
