Abstract

Experiment I: was conducted to study the effects of replacement of antibiotics with probiotic-prebiotic combination, digestarom and essential oil mix.
Experiment II: was conducted to evaluate the effects of replacement of antibiotics with combination of digestarom with essential oil mix, digestarom with probiotic-prebiotic combination and essential oil mix with probiotic-d
Both experiments were conducted to study their effects on:
(1) Growth performance of broiler chickens. (2) Carcass quality traits. (3) Chemical composition of breast and leg muscles. (4) Some serum analysis as Cholesterol, triglyceride, HDLP, LDLP, VLDLP, Total protein, total albumin, total globulin and ALT (5) Leukogram and Antibody titer. (6) Intestinal pH and morphology
.
Experiment (I)
Broiler chickens in this study were allotted into five groups in each contained 27 birds each group with 3 replicate, with 9 birds in each one, they were fed on isocaloric and isonitrogenous diets. Feed and water were provided ad-libitum along the duration of the trial. The experiment extended for 6 weeks and the feeding period was divided into 3 stages:
1) Starter stage: from 0-21day in which the bird fed diet contained CP 23.0446% and ME 3203.784 kcal/kg diet.
2) Grower stage: from 22-35 day in which the bird fed diet contained CP 20.099% and ME 3200.358 kcal/kg diet.
3) Finisher stage: from 36-42 day in which the bird fed diet contained CP 18.0892 and ME 3207.552 kcal/kg diet.
The experimental design was as the following in different groups:
1) Basal standard diet without additives
2) Basal standard diet contained neo-terramycin antibiotic 1 g /kg diet
3) Basal standard diet contained digestarom 200 g / ton diet
4) Basal standard diet contained EOM only (ginger oil 1
