Abstract Analysis of generation reliability assessment in power systems, the effects of both the forced outage rates, and the uncertainties in load forecast are the main objects of the present work. Such analysis has been evolved from loss-of-load and loss-of-energy probabilities techniques taking into account : A) Uncertainty of the forecast peak demand being predicted at specified intervals of confidence limit using the student-t-distribution, and b) the effect of forced outages of the generating units. The previous historical work with a survey of the published literatures in this field has been reviewed in chapter 1. |
