Abstract
Abstract Functioning access is very important to the patient and dialysis centers. This argues the need for structured, routine methods to predict access dysfunction. The study included 50 patients subdivided in two groups. 1. Group (A):This group included 37patients who were requiring AVF 2. Group (B):This group included 14 patients on regular hemodialysis with already functioning direct AVF to possible complication. All patients are examined by CDUS for the following : a. Gray scale B mode b. Color coded Doppler imaging Color-flow Doppler ultrasound is the only mobile noninvasive technique that provides direct visual imaging of the access and measurement of access flow. Routine serial sonographic examination can detect complications early enough to improve fistula survival and decrease patient morbidity especially those having risk factors , follow up for the AVF is important for early detection of complication and planning for appropriate treatment .
