المستخلص The purpose of the current research was to develop the students’ English Language Skills at the Faculty of Commerce. The target English Language skills were: Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. The treatment tool was a multimedia-based Business English Program. Four measurement tools were developed and validated. They were: 1) Listening Test, 2) Speaking Test, 3) Reading Test, and 4) Writing Test. The subjects were a group of 26 1st year students enrolled in the English Department at Ismailia Faculty of Commerce. The design of the study was one group pre-and-post test experimental design. The developed program was presented by using the computer-assisted instruction as one of the E-learning applications followed by classroom discussions to provide the students with feedback regarding their responses in the speaking and writing sections. The results of the study revealed that the developed multimedia Business English program had a significant positive effect on developing the 1st year students’ English Language Skills at the Faculty of Commerce. Practical Application: 1. Dividing the content into modules when developing instructional multimedia programs. 2. Developing multimedia ESP programs that develop the four Basic English Language Skills integratively and interactively. |
