Abstract This investigcttion was conducted 1orx “Queen Eliza.beth rose cultivar cit the farm of F1orioultur, Faculty of Agriculture, Assiut University, during the two suocü— asive seasons 1976 — 1977 and 1977 — 198. Rose plants were sprayed with some chosen ohernicaI at certain concentrations after a preliminary work on these, and other chenicris. Tho chosen chemicals at various ooncentrationa were :— — Chlcronphenicol, Gnc and two sprays at concentrations of 500 ppm. — 5—FluorouscLI, one and two sprays at ooncontta— tion of 50 ppm. — Salicylic acid, one and two sprays at concentrt— ion of 250 ppm, — Estrogen hozmione, one and two sprays at conoentr— aSian of 5%. The chemicals wore sprayad to rose plants either once or twice. Plants were arranged in split plot in tsne experiment (a chemical treatments beside the control x 4 rep— licatas x 4 plants).
