Abstract

Typhoid fever is still considered one of the public health problems in Egypt; it is transmitted by ingestion of contaminated water and food by stools, which carried salmonella typhi. According to world Health organization reports; typhoid fever affects 17 million people worldwide annually, with approximately 600.000 deaths, the number of sporadic cases has remained relatively constant in the industrialized world, and most cases in developed countries are imported from endemic countries.
