Abstract This investigation was carried out at Kota—Ombo Sugar Factory, Can Research Station Farm, durins the successive seasons 1980/81, 1981/82 and 1982183 to find out the effect of the following cultural practices on cane productivity: (A) CANE PRODUCTIVITY AS A1YECTED W! INflZ-R0W SZACINQ The experiment was laid out in split block design, with four replicates. Factor (B); i.e. 90, 110, 130 and 150 cm inter—row spacing were applied in utrips acros on entire block of factor (A); i.e. cane oultivars; NOO.310, G1D.65/O—9, G68/88 aLd 9u1B. Factor (A) was arrlged in latin square, while factor (B) was constructed in completely randomized block. The size of sub—plot was 120 square meter, The results were statistically analysed and compared by Duncan’s Idulliple Range test. The results obtained could be summarized as follows: 1.
