المستخلص
The present study iz oined to know production problems o field crops in Sogolta and A]im counties Sohag gover norate, olso it is aimed to know the cailable of the agricultural production resources to know how aupplyitig for each one of these reioureeB in the realized income from each crop.
On studing the production problems f or the field crops in Sago1t and AIcuim county it is noticed that the decreasing prices of production problem, rising of production cost problem and the employment problem in the frant of production problems
On c-sternation the production and cost functions of the most important crops in Sagolta county Sohag govornorate 5..n order to know how economic the available resources were in producing these crops it ws found that:
1— The crops were produced in the region of research in the stae not econonic for the producer because the cost elasticity Lor each then was less that one.
2— To mcxmize the profit of cotton, the use of mechanical povcr, fertilizers, annal draft power, family labour and gricultura1 labour must be increased.
3a To oaxnize the profit of wheat, the use of irrigation water, nechanical powor, aniqa. draft power and hired labour ciut be increased.
