The present study is aimed to know production problems o field crops in Tema county Soghag govemorate, also it is aimed to know the available of the agricultural production resources to know hw supplying for each one of these resources in the realized income from each crop.
On studing the production problernfor the field crops in Tezna county it is noticed that the employment problem and rising of production cost problem in the frant of production problems, and they have the same importance.
On estemation the productiorz and cost functions of the most important crops in Tema county Sohag gavernorate in order to know how economic the available resources were in producing these crops it was found that;
1— The crops were produced in the region of research in the stage not economic for the producer because the cost elasticity for each them was less than one.
2— To maximize the profit of cotton in the fans less than one faddan, the use of fsnily labour, hired labour, seeds and chemicals control must be increased. Mechanical labour, animal lflour e.n& water for irrigation must be deorea.3ed.
