Abstract

Broccoli and red cabbage are considered of foods which have high nutrient value unknown for some people.A lot of researches attract sights to these nutrient materials for their supreme ability in playing a protective as well as accrual roles for poisonous effects resulting from some nutrient pollutants which play an important role in causing some cancer disease with its different types which become popular nowadays.Therefore this research shows some protective effects to these materials and also their role in curing some kinds of cancer cells for experimental animals (the white female mouse)laboratory tested in vitro.Therefore,this study aims to: Study the effect of plant extracts on DNA damaged cells in Ehrlich Ascites Carcinoma cell line. Try using some of this plant extracts to prevent or to stop cancer cell activities. Study the effect of plant extracts on DNA fragmentation and its relation with cancer rates by using the electrphoresis pattern analysis I.The Effect of extraction methods on the antioxidant activity and total phenolic compounds of tested vegetables Cabbage extracts showed considerable differences in antioxidant activity (AA =63.12 – 80.70%)when it was calculated by the four different methods used in this study.Methanolic extract (MeOH)showed strong activity probably due to its high phenolic content(1487 mg/100 g).Aqueous extract showed relatively low
