Numerous economic studies showed the disability of the industrial sector alone to realize economic development in ARE., and the agricultural sector is still the leader sector of economic development.
The main problem of this study is the deficit of the local agricultural production to meet the Egyptian requirements because of the decrease in the agricultural production rate if it was compared with population growth rate and the consumption growth rate, this position led to a wide gap between the available supply and demand needs from the foodstuffs.
The study aimed at recognizing the indicators of the economic
of the Egyptian agricultural sector and measuring its rates of growth and its efficiency and shedding light on the role of the agricultural
foreign trade in achieving agricultural economic development in addition to draws and discuss the broad outlines of the major obstacles which delayed the agricultural economic development, and the possibilities of overcoming it.
The study depended on published and unpublished data of various governmental and non-governmental organizations. Concerning the methods of the research work is concerned, the study is intended to be both theoretical, methodological and analytical.
The study consists of five chief chapters, the first chapter includes the theoretical frame and the review, the second chapter includes indicators of the performance of the Egyptian agricultural sector. It is
