Abstract
Morbid obesity has reached an epidemic proportions all over the world. National Institute of Health Consensus panel on obesity reported that at least 20-30% of adult men and 30-40% of adult women are obese. Unfortunately, medical interventions have been infective in this growing proportion. Currently, bariatric surgery is considered to be the most
effective intervention in managing morbid obesity and its comorbidities
(Juan et al., 2004).
