Abstract
Medical image segmentation plays a crucial role in the extraction of useful information from images for all medical imaging applications such as visualization, volumetric measurement and image-guided surgery. Owing to issues such as poor spatial resolution, ill-defined boundaries, acquisition artifacts, and variability of object shapes, Medical image segmentation still remains a challenging task .The purpose of this work is to propose a technique to automatically segment liver organ in medical images.
