Abstract
Iris Murdoch’s novels could be looked upon from different angles, and could be studied from many points of view .
one of the thing which attract the attention in her writingsis her philosophy which hovers in the background of her novels , or, sometimes
is present at the centre of the plot.
also, her use of the supernatural seems to be one of the dominant features in her novels is the centre of the interst and study .however, viewing supernatural as aformal feature or technique, made the researcher look upon it as a device that it used by Murdoch.
