Abstract

Hip joint is one of the strongest and most stable joint in the body, and athletic injuries to this joint are relatively uncommon.
Athletic hip pain is that result from athletic or sports-related activity causing cessation of participation or restriction of usual activity.
Causes of Athletic hip pain are grouped into two main classifications depending on the integrity of the skin: (1) The exposed causes and (2) the unexposed causes. Exposed such as abrasions, lacerations, puncture wounds and incisions. Unexposed or closed wounds in sport; such as :
• Contusions resulting from direct blow to the hip and commonly to the iliac crest, it may show ecchymosis and it is managed conservatively by rest and medical treatment.
• Strains of the hip muscles, muscles in the groin area consist of hip adductors and flexors.
Sprains: Any of the supporting ligaments of the hip joint may become stretched or torn as a result of some exceeds the normal range of motion in any direction and
