Abstract

Blood gas tension and acid base balance, electrolytes br (sodium, potassium and chloride) and packed cell volume were determined in 92 healthy camels which classified according to season, sex and pregnancy (which explain in Table (3). Venous blood samples were taken -#102;-#114;-#111;-#109; each animals. The first sample was heparinized blood for estimation of pH, Pco2 , P02 , Hco3 , Tco2 , ..E. and P.C.V. br \U. t?cec\ t’ - br measurments were performed by corning H blood gas analyzer Model 168. Paked cell volume were determined in these samples by Microhaematocrit after Schalm et al.,(l975). br Second sample was obtained without anticoagulant br agent and used for serum separation for determination of sodium, potassium and chloride. br Sodium and potassium contents were determined using flame photometer corning 400. br Chloride was determined by using chloride meter br (Corning Model 925). br Mean values for macs in summer and winter for pH br Pco2 , Po2 , Hco , Tco2 , B.E., Na , , Cl and P.C.V. br were: (7.381 ÷ 0.0071 , 7.314 + 0.016) - (59.30 + 2.79 br mrHg., 52.0 ± 0.79 mmHg.) ( 27.28 ÷ 1.33 mmHg., 27.01 ÷
