Abstract Conclusions and Recommendations I- The Results There are a number of results that can be summed up in the context of theoretical and field study of the historical and architectural significance of the mausoleums of Aal al-Bayt in Cairo, and attempts to develop over the ages, and proposed mechanisms for the development of tourism in the light of the current realities, and constraints that faced such development.. They are as follows: 1. Preserving the rights of future generations in the mausoleums of Aal al-Bayt as an important cultural, historical and civilization inheritance across the different ages. 2. Upgrading the physical, environmental and tourism level of the mausoleums of al Aal al-Bayt and the adjacent neighborhoods. 3. Limit the impact of degradation and collapse of the monuments, as well as the surrounding neighborhoods. 4. Provide all the necessary services and facilities and infrastructure and the development of the residential neighborhoods surrounding the monument. 5. The revival of part of the Islamic heritage in old Cairo, which was the subject of attention for centuries. 187 6. Give the appropriate role of the mausoleums of the prophet’s family on the tourist map of the country...that Egypt till now still known as a tourist destination depends in the first place on the type of cultural tourism and archaeological sites, and the Ancient Egyptian monuments is the main motivation for tourists to visit Egypt. 7. That in spite of the abundance of the Islamic monuments that Egypt enjoyed which widespread in the most of its provinces. However, the Egyptian tourism companies do not give variety to the tourism programs and limit the areas of the Islamic archaeological sites to visit on two or three examples (Citadel of Saladin, Mosque of Sultan Hassan in Cairo). And neglect at the same time, the mausoleums of Aal al-Bayt in spite of the spiritual and cultural importance to the majority of Muslim tourists, especially those who come from Arab countries, and Southeast Asia and other Muslim countries. 8. Finding new cultural and commercial tourist attractions which take into account the preservation of the nature and the identity of the architectural and cultural heritage of Aal al Bait and the surrounding areas. 188 II: Recommendations The successful implementation of the proposed mechanism in the tourism development of the mausoleums of Aal al-Bait in Cairo, and to achieve the including desired goals and outcomes, requires the formulation of a number of urgent recommendations to be taken into account in implementation, especially in light of lessons learned from the ongoing development in some of those mausoleums and these recommendations can be summarized as follows: 1. Adoption of the scientific tourism planning as an approach to the management and organization of the tourist activity, in all its elements. 2. The creation of an effective and active management to oversee the implementation of development projects proposed in the research, and also to take charge of the follow-up and the assessment to prevent negatives. 3. Activation of community participation in planning and implementation of tourism development projects of the heritage of Aal al-Bait, in order to ensure the success and sustainability of those projects. 4. Encourage the private sector to invest in the field of religious tourism, and the diversification of the economic investment opportunities targeted in the tourism development of the heritage of Al al-Bait. As the private sector is characterized with the managerial efficiency and investment expertise, and competitive. 189 5. Employment of decisions and administrative regulations to support the development processes and also to intervene to remove obstacles. 6. Enhance the performance of national experiences in the field of study and implementation of the restoration of historical buildings and archaeological sites, and this achieved through sending study missions abroad, gets them into colleges and scientific research centers and specialized agencies. 7. Determine the responsibility and the role of each of the actors involved in the implementation of development projects to prevent the contradiction and duplication of work. 8. The creation of legal and legislative framework agreed upon by all parties concerned with the development and renewal. 9. Transparency and integration of plans between all actors involved in development. 10. Implementation of development projects in stages to facilitate the progress and evaluation of the work, review and rectify the negative aspects, with the possibility of amendment of plans and programs as needed. 11. The provision of propaganda and publicity for the recreation of the importance of such development projects. |
