Abstract

Several factors determine soil fertility among them nutrient availability. Nutrient availability is very important to soil fertility. However, this factor can only express itself as long as there are no other limiting factors. The aim of fertilization is to maintain a sufficient nutrient level, while avoiding excesses, in order to meet crop requirements and to ensure the quality of the products. Fertilization to replace crop nutrients removal requires annual application. In taking the nutrient balance concept into the field we realy need more detail and we have to take into account effects which the soil, the weather and the crop might have on the mobility and availability of plant nutrients. Environmental pollution and cultivated soil protection are considered two of the most serious problems that face mankind in the21 century, especially with wide utilization of biofertilization and inorganic fertilization. Biofertilization plays an important role in the availability of nutrients in soil and those derived from mineral fertilizers.
The present work was carried out to evaluate the effect of phosphate fertilizer, nitrogenous fertilizer, biofertilization and different levels of Cobalt and Molybdenum as foliar sprays and their interaction on growth of wheat plants, air and oven dry weights of straw and grain yields and the total amount uptake of nutrients.
