Abstract
Lake Maruit is a Shallow inlannd Slightly brackish lake adjoining the Mediterranean Coast near Alexandria.It lies at longitude 29° 55’E and latitude3° 10’ N .it has an area of about 15.000 Feddans.It is divided by the Desert Road and the Embankment of the Umum Drain into four basins,namely:the main basin , Fish Farm ,North Western and South Western basins.
