المستخلص This study aimed to identify the current reality of the installation of the class for students of higher education and the degree and direction of social mobility for graduates of university education and to achieve the use of researcher scale socio-economic level of the family as well as to identify the application has been convictions during the months of May and June (2004) on a random sample stratified strong (1351) students of the colleges core Sanaa University. The study found most important results of the class structure for members of the total sample reflects the equal representation of the three social classes in higher education there is disproportionate representation of the three social classes in the faculties of the university, especially in faculties of medicine and education - that the chances of female enrollment in tertiary education for Ataatsawy with opportunities for males because of socio-economic level low to the families of female - that a university education play a significant role in social mobility - there is a relative decline in the role of university education in social mobility upward offset the lack of access for people of lower class to higher education - a different degree and direction of social mobility from one college to another - as the degree and direction of social mobility between males and females. |
