المستخلص - This study aimed to identify the actual state of the Egyptian university teachers’ academic freedom, in the light of modern innovations and to show the most important obstacles that prevent university teachers from practicing academic freedom effectively, at the end the study offers some suggestions that could help university teachers increase their practice of academic freedom in the light of modern innovations. - The researcher has used the descriptive analytical approach, to achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher has prepared two questionnaires to apply on a sample of 164 university teachers selected from El Mansoura, Assiut, Cairo and Alexandria universities. The following results were reached: - The members of the total sample recognize the actual state of academic freedom in the Egyptian universities in the light of recent changes at a ratio of 81 %. This proves that university educators are well-aware of the concept and actual state of academic freedom - The total sample of the faculties recognize the actual state of academic freedom in the light of recent changes on a greater scale than those of the theoretical faculties, and at a ratio of 82 % for the practical faculties and 79 % for the theoretical ones. The study like wise, reached, a suggested recommendations for more effective practice of academic freedom. |
