Abstract
The oin of this work wos based on the hygienio oval— zation through the reached knowledges about housing of bitds in various localites in Upper Erpt, including con— atruction, existing ruicroolirnatic ootiditions, and the bacteriological examinabjoit of aii, soil and drinking wetat in order to judge ideal houses of poultry in this part of olzt country.
The floors of 91 houses were made from concrete, while the rest 9 houses were provided with earth floor.
Hygienic condition of bird enoolosuses scattered in Minic, Assiat and Soha Governorates of Upper Egypt was evaluated in the present study.
Investigated poultry houses were distributed in 9 local— ities from which one hiudrd houses were examined. The majo4ty of them (69 houses) were of the intensive while the rest (31 houses) were of the senai—intcnsive type. The reults achieved cn be sumjtrized as follows:
(1) The construction of investigated paltry houses was found to be nearly imiar, the walls were built of red bricks covered with a smooth cement )..cre.r on the inner sufface and painted with Lime— wash.
