English has emerged a tile 1 ajar international language,
Twelve countries in th world have Engli h as til ir mother
tongue ; a further eleven use nglish as their official language
and fourteen other countries lise English a’ One of their official

of touri m . Furthermor it dominate the international media
space. cince and modern technologies . Most .cientific and
technology r .earch is conduct d in English . English used just
by native peakers to communicate with each other and with
non-natix e speaker to non-native speakers communication.

Writing is producing a sequence of entence arranged in
particular order and linked together in certain ways . But in our
schools and class s th puipls may knov many Engli h forms
and rules in all objective te t but they can not u e the e form
a d rule when they want to e ’pres themselve in their written
work . Thi means that many pupils who havegood mastery of
lingui tic accuracy can not communicate poorly in w .iting
compo ition . GurreJl (1976) believes that it is asy to memoriz
grammatical structu but difficult to ma t r the u ’age of the
form . 0 grammar i. not and hould not be taught as an end in
itself. If value i that p .ovide part of the technique for good
writing.

These problems are reflected in the pupils writing or peaking.
