Abstract the ”see and treat” strategy had documented advantages and disadvantages and it may be a viable alternative in certain select situations or patient populations. This approach is appropriate for women with HSIL cytology who are at risk of non-compliance with follow-up and in whom potential complications of LEEP related to future pregnancy are not a concern. Also, ”see and treat” strategy has low risk of overtreatment when used in women with cytologic and colposcopic findings consistent with high grade lesions. |
