Abstract
Enteral nutrition is now widely used as the preferred route of nutritional support in malnourished and intensive care unit patients. The present study was designed to investigate the possibility of preparation and evaluation of some dietary therapeutic formulas as designed for tube feeding in experimental rats. Formulas were prepared for different diseases based on the requirements of considered patients depending on the clinical nutrition references, formulas were subjected to chemical analysis in order to determine: Moisture, crude protein, fat, crude fiber, ash , carbohydrates and total calories.
