Abstract
During the period from april 1982 to june 1983 to June 1983 a bimonthly survey was made in the west coastal zone off Alexandria this zone is affected by the discharge of El umum drain to El Max bay and the main sewage outfall at kayat bay the area of study extends for about 15 Km between El Agamy headland to the west and kayet bey to the east and from the coast to a depth of about 15 meters. the present work aim is to assess the budget and dynamics of nitrogen and phosphorus in the coastal water off Alexandria.
