Abstract

The present study was carried out in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Minufiya University (Sadat City). Its aim was to investigate the effect of in-ovo injection of amino acids mixture, vitamin E and ascorbic acid on the pre and post-hatching performance of Muscovy ducks. This study included 450
fertilized eggs of Muscovy ducks artificially incubated at 37º-37.5ºC temperature and 70 % relative humidity. On the 12th day of incubation, eggs were divided into nine equal groups Group 1: Kept without treatment as a control group Group 2: Injected with 0.50 ml of amino acids mixture into the egg’s yolk Group 3: Injected with 0.50 ml distilled water (amino acids solvent) into the egg’s yolk Group 4: Injected with 0.75 ml of amino acids mixture into the egg’s yolk Group 5: Injected with 0.75 ml distilled water into the egg’s yolk Group 6: Injected with 10 IU of vitamin E into the egg’s yolk Group 7: Injected with 0.10 ml corn oil (vitamin E solvent) into the egg’s yolk Group 8: Injected with 3 mg of ascorbic acid into the egg’s yolk Group 9: Injected with 0.10 ml of saline solution (ascorbic acid solvent) into the egg’s yolk. The present study was carried out in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Minufiya University (Sadat City).
