Abstract
This thesis is concerned with studying the operation and performance of steam power plant this thesis defines the definition of the thermal power plant, types of power plants and identify of the each major parts of the Sidi krir steam power plant (boiler, turbine, condenser, feed water heaters) and then we can Jeamand know How we can-improve this efficiency, including this studying we present good general information about each major parts. Of the Sidi lair steam power plant to be understood. And including those parts, actual heat balance of the plant, actual heat balance of the boiler, actual heat balance of the turbine, actual heat balance of the condenser, and actual heat balance of the feed water heaters. We can get actual point from temperature, pressure, steam mass flow rate and fuel mass flow rate And the enthalpies are calculated by reading the temperature and pressure at each point from panel then by using steam table you can get them. By Calculating the Efficiency (T)b) at different loads and different conditions, and drawing the curve for each component, at the last of studying can we get the performance and high efficiency of the steam power plant.
