Abstract
The aim of this study is the heterocyclization of 2,4-disubstituted thiosemicarbazides like 2,4-Diphenylthiosemicarbazide, 2-(4-Methylphenyl)-4-phenylthiosemicarbazide, 2-(4-Chlorophenyl)-4-phenyl-thiosemicarbazide, 2-Phenyl-4-benzylthiosemicarbazide, 2-Phenyl-4-allylthiosemicarbazide, 2-(4-Methylphenyl)-4-benzylthiosemicarbazide, 4-Phenylthiosemicarbazide, 4-Benzylthiosemicarbazide and 4-Allylthiosemicarbazide as electron donors with some π-deficient compounds like Tetracyanoethylene, Dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate, Dibenzoyl acetylene, 2,3,5,6-Tetrachloro-1,4-benzo-quinone and 2,3-Dichloro-1,4-naphthoquinone under various reaction conditions. Five-, six- and seven- membered heterocyclic compounds were prepared.
