Construction industry, is responsible for constructing buildings such as dams, highways, airports, buildings and industrial sites. This industry is one of the major sectors requiring the movement of earth and rocks to alter the surface configuration or structural capacity of the ground and it depends to a great extent on heavy equipment. As a result, it is an important target to have the best quality of this equipment by improving the construction equipment management .Because productivity improvements typically correspond to cost reductions, construction management has a particular interest in the factors influencing foundation operation .0)
Construction equipment may constitute one of the largest long-term capital investments for a contractor. The successful goal in construction management is to complete the project on time, within budget and at the least possible cost. A crucial element in accomplishing the aforementioned goal is the effective management and implementation of construction equipment.( 1)
The fundamental goal of equipment management process is to determine the productivity of equipment for a given job. Although this is not necessarily a complex action, there are many factors to consider in making this decision. Insufficient management of equipment can result in low production and / or idle equipment, either of which can impact on project duration and cost. Therefore, it is important for contractors, construction managers, project managers and anyone directly responsible for equipment management, to be familiar with the methods for evaluating the equipment productivity for a given job.
