Abstract

Training Needs Assignment is considered the essential item to achieve a training planning and training program development for workers in agriculture extension organizations in reclamation areas.
Sinai Peninsula include two governorates on its land , and there are big agriculture projects on its land , these, projects demands effectiveness agricultural extension organization .
Most studies to assignment the training needs of extension agents ( knowledge , skills , attitudes ) in different fields were achievement on workers in old land , so its important that achieve this study on workers in reclamation lands to assignment training needs of extension agents in North and South Sinai Governorates in field of agriculture activities ( knowledge , attitudes ) to be can development the training programs which provides agriculture agents by tools and give them the ability to a good achievement their work .
The Objectives of this study in details were :
1-Identify some characteristics of respondents .
2-Identify the need degree of knowledge training for agriculture agents in relation to extension activities .
3-Identify the degree of attitude toward extension activities for agriculture agents .
4-Define the relationship between the need degree of knowledge training for agriculture agents in relation to extension activities and some personal , social and communicational variables .
5-Define the relationship between the degree of attitude toward extension activities for agriculture agents and some personal , social and communicational variables -Determine contribution percent of the variables significantly correlated with the need degree of knowledge training for agriculture agents in relation to extensional activities in explaining the total variance .
7-Determine contribution percent of the variables significantly correlated with the degree of attitude toward extension activities for agriculture agents in explaining the total variance .
The global of study was represented in all agricultural workers in agriculture extensional organization in both governorates : north and south Sinai , and their amounted 104 agriculture extension agents ( 69 agriculture extension agents in north Sinai , 35 agriculture extension agents in south Sinai ) .
Determined the study sample was by using Krejicie and Morgan equation , so the total sample was 82 agriculture extension agents , represented 78% of the total amounting .
Data were collected through a questionnaire by interviewing respondents , this questionnaire contains two main parts , first was relation of independents variables , second part was include two scales for determine the knowledge training degree and determine the attitude degree .
Simple Correlation Coefficient , Step Wise , Percentages and Means were used to analyze data statistically .
The Main Results of The Study Revealed That : 1- General characteristics of extension agents :
a- Age : about 68.29 % of the agents are under 48 years old.
h- Degree of Rurality : around 57.32 % of the agents have high and middle degree of rurality .
c-Degree of Education : about 64.63 % of the agents have middle degree of .
d-Degree of Agricultural Extensional Education : about 73.17 % of the agents have low and middle degree of Agricultural Extensional education .
e-Degree of Agricultural Experience : about 59.76 % of the agents have low degree of Agricultural Experience .
f-Degree of Exposure to Information Sources : around 53.66 % of the agents have middle degree of Exposure to Information Sources
g-Degree of Training : about 74.39 % of the agents have low and and middle degree of Training .
h-Degree of Attitude towards Training : about 78.05 % of the agents have low and middle degree of Attitude towards Training .
i-Degree of Extension Activities Practice : about 68.29 % of the agents have low and middle degree of Extension Activities Practice .
J- Degree of Satisfaction towards Extensional Work : around 52.44 % of the agents have middle degree of Satisfaction towards Extensional Work .
k- Degree of Innovativeness : around 54.88 % of the agents have low degree of Innovativeness .
1- Degree of Economic Motives : about 84.14 % of the agents have low degree of Economic Motives .
m- Degree of Social Motives : : about of the agents 76.83 % have high degree of Social Motives .
n-Degree of Psychological Motives :around 80.49 % of the agents have high degree of Psychological Motives .
o-Degree of Organizational Motives : around 80.49 % of the agents have high degree of Organizational Motives .
p-Degree of Economic Values : about 89.02 % of the agents have low degree of Economic Values .
q-Degree of Social Values : about 65.85 % of the agents have low degree of Social Values .
r-Degree of Work Values : around 69.51% of the agents have high degree of Work Values .
s-Degree of Cognizance Values : around 82.93 % of the agents have high degree of Cognizance Values .
t-Degree of Truly Values : about 68.29 % of the agents have high degree of Truly Values .
u-Degree of Honesty Values : about 68.30 % of the agents have high degree of Honesty Values .
v-Degree of Sincerity Values : about 75.61% of the agents have high degree of Sincerity Values .
w-Degree of Democracy Values : 78.05 % of the agents have low degree of Democracy Values.
2- Need degree of knowledge training for agriculture agents in relation to extension activities were : about 19.50 % of the agents have low Need degree of knowledge training , 45.10 % have middle level and 35.40 % have high level , that is mean that 80.50 % of the agents their Need degree of knowledge training were either moderate or relativity high .
3- Ranking knowledge according to percent of respondents need degrees in fields which in relation to extension activities was :
a-Knowledge which in relation to Extensional Program.
b-Knowledge which in relation to Extensional Means and Tools.
c-Knowledge Organization.
d-Knowledge Evaluation.
e-Knowledge Recommendations of Agriculture Applications.
4- Degree of Attitude toward extension activities for agriculture agents were : about 17.00 % of the agents have low degree of Attitude training , 54.90 % have middle level and 28.10 % have high level .
5- Need degree of knowledge training for agriculture agents in relation to extension activities correlated negatively and significantly at 0.01 with each degree of Agricultural Extensional Education and degree of Extension Activities Practice . both variables contributed by 27.30 % and 6.90 % respectively totaling 34.20 % in explaining the variance in the knowledge training degree .
6- Degree of Attitude toward extension activities for agriculture agents correlated positively and significantly at 0.01 with each degree of Social Motives , degree of Organizational Motives and degree of Truly Values . three variables contributed by 16.00 % , 7.10 % and 3.40 % respectively totaling 26.50 % in explaining the variance in the Attitude training degree .
