Abstract The human hand is a beautiful sophisticated artistic tool. It is the - main interface between man and his environment. Tn the Arabic literature, we use the term hand to describe possession. In the Quran, the term hand has been used to denote several meanings, including power (Chapter 51, Verse 47), possession (Chapter 8, Verse 70), the person himself (Chapter 2, Verse 195), fighting (Chapter 4,Verse 77), sorrow (Chapter 25, Verse 27), the body part we know as hand (Chapter 2, Verse 7°) and other meanings. This great importance of the hand IS accompanied by a sophisticated architecture. Each finger ray can be considered as a separate system, working in precise concordance with the other fingers to achieve a normal hand function. A stable supporting skeleton, stable mobile joints, a fine balance between intrinsic and extrinsic motors and between extensor and flexor motors and complex tendon mechanisms are all some of the components involved in this magnificent hand ”machine”. |
