Abstract
The aim of this work is to measure the anaemia associated proteins ” haptoglobin and transferring” in pregnant ladies in early and late pregnancy in el-minia area. 98 pregnant ladies were admitted to the study. 54 pregnant ladies were found to be anaemic while the remaining 44 pregnant ladies were non-anaemic where they were considered as a control group. Haemoglobin concentration , serum haptoglobin , serum transferring, total iron binding capacity, serum iron and the percentage saturation of transferring were measured in the pregnant ladies admitted to the study.
