Abstract the aim of this study is to use a combined bio-markers in order to improve the sensitivity and the specificity by method suitible for monitoring and early detection of metastases in patients with breast cancer. Clinical data and the results of the individual cases and controls are presented in tables 1,2,3 and 4. the mean CEA values of patients with benign breast disease were statistically significantly higher than those of control groups . however, patients with breast cancer had statistically significantly higher CEA levels than those of patients with benign breast diseases and controls. the incidence of positive serum CEA values for patients with breast cancer was 68%. the mean TPA levels of patients with benign breast diseases were statistically significantly higher than those of controls (p<0.02). |
