Abstract Laser frequency stabilization is using in many laser applications especially optical metrology. In order to achieve laser stability in frequency domain, some characteristics of He-Ne laser tubes at wavelengths 633 nm, 612 nm and 594 nm were studied in existence of transverse magnetic field. Confocal spectrum analyzer and radio frequency spectrum analyzer were used in the study to examine mode collapse between laser modes to obtain a single-mode laser. The commercial He-Ne laser tubes have frequency stability about 2.5×10-6. The applied transverse magnetic field on He-Ne laser tubes increases the frequency stability in the duration of mode collapse up to 4.7×10-10. |
