Abstract
At the present study an experiment was carried out in the successive summer season of year 2005 in Wahet El-Nagah farm, Khatatba village, Monofya governorate on cucumber crop under sandy soil conditions. The present study aimed to increase the abilities of drip irrigation system for preserving water and enhancing productivity, increasing economical benefits by using cheap mulch materials exists under local conditions and acting recently a serious environmental problem. The study aimed also to choose best management conditions for drip sysytem under some mulching conditions and creating formulas to describe the effect of amount of applied water on crop productivity and creating formulas to predict the soil temperature.
