المستخلص

- Doppler tissue imaging was provided to be valuable, fesible, safe, easy to perform and relatively inexpensive technique and can be done as a bedside study.
- Pulsed wave Doppler tissue imaging is relatively sensitive and specific method that allowed detection and quantification of ischemia induced regional diastolic and systolic dysfunction.
- Pulsed wave Doppler tissue imaging is a sensitive method for detection of ischemic left ventricular segments than the subjective evaluation of regional motion abnormalities by conventional echocardiography.
- Many pulsed wave Doppler tissue imaging parameters (especially of diastolic parameters) were found to be of highly discriminative power in differentiation between ischemic and non ischemic segments.
- Many pulsed wave Doppler tissue imaging parameters can detect the improvement of regional function, and the dynamic changes in diastolic parameters were found to be more sensitive than the systolic parameters.
- The non ischemic segments of the myocardium were found to be affected by adjacent ischemic segments and their functions were improved after revascularization.
