Abstract
The major objectives of the present investigation, are:
1-Study the inheritance and genetic parameters of grain yield and related characters, root and some characters related to drought which are correlated to drought tolerance in rice.
2-Estimates the difference between moderates, susceptible and tolerance rice varieties using total soluble proteins and gel analysis.
3-Determining marker assisted selection (MAS) that help breeder to select and distinguish between different genetic stocks for drought tolerance using the randomly amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD).
