Abstract
As a result of the repeat increase in the volume of petroleum shipped by sea and the exploitation of offshore oil and gas deposits in recent years,there is a growing concern over the impacts of spilled petroleum on marine ecosystem however,the input of oil from anthropogenic sources into the marine enivronment has decreased during the past decades due to the measures required by international conventions on the prevention of the marine pollution by oil from shipping(gesamp,1993).amongst the different offshore oil producing areas.
