Abstract a cute myeloid leukemia is a heterogeneous group of neoplasm that affects hematopoietic cells responsible for the production of myeloid lineages in bone marrow, its diagnosis and subclassification by FAB and WHO criteria require combination of morphology, cytochemistry, cytogenetics and immuno-phenotyping with flowcytometry. Leukemia with Monocytic differentiation is a distinguishable form of AML involving monocytes, it occurs if injury involve more or less primitive, multi-potent or committed cells in cell stage development. The continuum of maturation can be blocked partially or completely at any stage of the cell development, leading to morphological variant, myelomonocytic or monocytic leukemia. |
