Abstract
: The aim of this Essay is to review the disease of human brucellosis including its epidemiology, incidence, clinical picture, Accurate diagnosis and treatment and evaluate the present status of human brucellosis in Egypt. The genus Brucella causes the zoonotic infection brucellosis (also known as undulant fever, Malta fever, Gibraltar fever, and Mediterranean fever). While brucellosis is uncommon in the most industrialized countries, worldwide it remains a significant cause of disease in domesticated animals and humans as an incidental host. It varies in endemicity in different locales depending upon social and cultural characteristics of the population and the intensity of local Brucella eradication programs.
