Abstract The sudden loss of power that is caused by removing a smart card from a terminal is widely used to obtain more trials to know the personal Identification number ( PIN ) of the smart card . The try-counter model was created to solve the above Problem especially during interaction with so-called non-atomic methods in the java card API . This thesis discusses the discovered risks of the try-counter model and how these risks can break the security of its implementation on Smart cards . |
