Abstract
Exploring the problem of preterm premature rupture of membranes, identifying the most common risk factors and to highlight how to diagnose pPROM and how to decrease prenatal morbidity and mortality and maternal risk. In conclusion, preterm premature rupture of membranes is important issue in obstetrics. It has many risk factors and different mechanisms that lead to its occurance. It can be diagnosed by history, examination, laboratory studies and ultrasound examination and it has many maternal and fetal complications. It is either treated by conservative management or delivery according to gestational age based approach.
