Abstract
lACCASES (EC1.10.3.1))are multi-copper oxidases that catalyze the oxidation of a wide range of phenols and other substrates with the concomitant reduction of dioxygen to water.more laccases are being discovered and studied from various fungal sources.because of their capability of catalyzing the oxidation of phenols,fungal laccases are receiving increading interest as potential industrial enzymes in various applications such as delignification and detoxification(reinhammar and malmstrom,1981;mayer,1987;yaropolov et al.,1994;feng et al.,1996)
