Abstract The present study has aimed to formulate new bromocriptine mesylate mucoadhensive buccal and vaginal delivery systems in order to prolong the residence time of the drug at the site of action , improve the bioavailbility and overcome the drawbacks of the conventional dosage forms. Some results : *Surface pH of the prepared discs was found to be within the satisfactory limits so the prepared discs were expected to cause on local irritation to the buccal mucosa. * All discs continued to swell up to 5hrs. * The bioadhesive strength of all discs was increased. *Drug release was markedly increased due to elevated solubility of the drug from its solid dispersion with poluronic. |
