Abstract Medicinal plants regained its reputition as the safe and effective remedy of most diseases . Most countries built factories manufacturing herbal remedies as well as clinics for the treatment of diseases by herbal medicins. The present study comprises phytochemical and biological studies of previously unexamined aerial parts of Artemisia suksdorfii, family Asteraceae. This study includes: Chapter I: Phytochemical screening of the aerial parts of Artemisia suksdorfii.showed the presence of carbohydrates and \ or glycosides, triterpenes and \ or sterols, lactones and esters, volatile bases, coumarins in addition to some flavonoidal positive reactions. Chapter II: Extraction, isolation and purification of the main constituents of Artemisia suksdorfii. Chapter III: Identification of the isolated compounds. |
