Abstract
In this thesis, simple, reliable, selective and sensitive spectrophotometric methods were developed for the determination of four non-sreroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (oxicam drugs) namely piroxicam , tenoxicam, lornoxicam, and meloxicam.Part I: includes general introduction and review of analytical methods. Part II: includes the reaction of piroxicam, tenoxicam, lornoxicam and meloxicam with methylene blue to form ion-pair complexes extractable in chloroform. Part III: includes tha reaction of studied NSAIDs with copper acetate to form drug-copper complexes extractable in chloroform.
