Abstract
General survey on the different snails which were found in the river Nile and its branches in El-Minia governorate was done. The work has shown that:
a) physa acute was the most prevailent snail .
b) Biompholaria alexanderia was less common. C)Bulinus truncates was rare.
d) other snails such as lymnaea calliaudi, melania tuberculata, Cleopatra bulimoides, Cleopatra cyclostomoides, lanistes carinatus and vivipara unicolor were very rare snails.
