Abstract
In this study a trial to give recent and comprehensive review of the subject of organ transplantation was done with afocus on Medico-legal aspects, legislation and religious aspect concerned with this process. Organs to be transplanted can obtained from a living donor or cadaver donor of equal importance are medical asoects of donor evaluation, the initial functional capacity of the transplanted organ is highly depended upon the efficacy of donor selection and to procurement techniques in preventing ischaemic damage. Transplants from related donor are consistently associated with higher patient and graft survival rats, compared with transplants from cadaver donors.
